Adding AND / OR logic to the tag filter within AXIOM

I use tagging filters a lot to filter out and include items into matching results window. The difficulty that I have had recently is isolating items that have multiple tags, but only want to view items that have one tag. I have had difficulty with this in other tools as well. Right now, using the tag filter, if I choose a tag in the filter it will bring into view all items with that tag, it doesn’t matter if those items have multiple tags or a single tag. What I am requesting to allow the user to isolate the items that only have one tag. There are many use cases for this, but here is one example: 100 total items tagged: 100 items tagged as sexually explicit 25 of those items are tagged as cache files I am requesting if a tag filter is applied it would pull up into view only the items that have that specific tag. In this example if the sexually explicit tag filter was applied then the results would be 75 items that have been tagged sexually explicit ONLY. Even though there are 25 other items tagged as sexually explicit, they are also tagged as cache file and don’t carry the same evidentiary value as the live files on the system. If I want to view items that have both tags, then I would click both tag boxes in the filter. In this example if the sexually explicit tag AND the cache files tag was selected in the filter then the results would be 25 items that have been tagged with both sexually explicit and cache. I would like to show the investigators we had 100 items tagged as sexually explicit images, but 25 of those were cache files and you don’t need to count those in your counts, for new charges, but they are still important enough to be tagged in the reports. If you can implement an AND / OR switch for the tag filter, might help with better filtering. If I wanted to see all 100 items that were tagged, then I could use the AND / OR switch to bring all tagged items into view, meaning: The user would apply the OR switch and when the user selected both tags in the filter for Sexually Explicit tagged items and Cache Files tagged items, the results would be all 100 tagged items that are tagged with Sexually Explicit tag or the Cache file tag. If the user wanted to view all items tagged, there could be an all-tagged items option in the filter, or they could just simply click the box for each tag that they wanted to view. Using this recommendation there should be a filter that would allow for the viewing of items that do not have a tag, which is possible in the current release using the untagged items filter. These are just example numbers, during real examinations these numbers can be in the thousands. Here is an example test that you could use to see what I am talking about and follow these instructions: find 10 images and tag them with #1 tag of those 10 images tag 5 of them with #2 tag then clear all filters now using the tag filter, check only the #1 tag box and view the results you will see all 10 items in view, even the items that are tagged with #2 tag The way this tag filter functions, makes it difficult to narrow down the results only items that I want to view. Using the same above steps, when using the filter to select the #1 tag filter it should only bring into view the images tagged with #1 tag and not the items that are tagged with #1 tag and #2 tag. If I want to view items that have both #1 tag and #2 tag then I should have to select both tags in the filter. Thank you for our time and if I have confused this too much, please to contact me with any follow up questions. – Scott (Bskoenig3347)
